What is the Volunteer Pool of Highland Park?

The Volunteer Pool of Highland Park promotes and encourages volunteerism in the community. Established in 1964, the Volunteer Pool is a not-for-profit organization that refers volunteers to help meet the needs and requests from local agencies.

What does the Volunteer Pool do?

The Volunteer Pool matches volunteers with service opportunities in the community. If you have a special talent you would like to share, or if you would like to make a contribution to your community, becoming a volunteer is just what you need to do.

Often, teachers will request a speaker on an unusual subject. The Volunteer Pool will try to fulfill that need and you may be the person with the expertise to impart that knowledge. Or, an area agency will request help with an event or service they provide to local residents. Look at Volunteer Opportunities to see what positions we are looking for. Or, become a member and receive notice when a request comes in that matches your skills.

Can I be part of the Volunteer Pool board?

You may want to consider joining our Volunteer Pool board. Just send an e-mail to info@volunteerpoolhp.org telling us why you would like to be a board member and we will pass the information along to the nominating committee.

Is there a fee for your services?

No. The Volunteer Pool of Highland Park is a non-profit organization relying on donations from community members and grants. There is never a fee.
